Preveterinary
Indiana University does not offer a degree program in veterinary medicine. Students may, however, complete one of several degree programs at IU Southeast first that will include the minimum prerequisite courses for admission to a school of veterinary medicine. The following list of courses comprises the minimum course work for admission to the School of Veterinary Medicine at Purdue University. Other veterinary program admission requirements may vary. Students desiring admission to vet school are encouraged to consult with the academic preveterinary advisor early in their academic career to ensure requirements for veterinary school admission are complete. It should be noted that very few students gain admission to this highly competitive field after two years of undergraduate study. In fact, students are urged to pursue a four-year degree that will afford them an alternative career.
The following minimum general preveterinary requirements for admission to the Purdue University Veterinary Program are offered at IU Southeast:
- English Composition W 131
