Bachelor of Science in Education/Elementary Special Education (Teaching All Learners)
The Bachelor of Science in Education/Elementary Special Education (Teaching All Learners) leads to a dual license in Special Education and Elementary Education for grades K-6. Through the coursework, field placements in several kinds of schools and classrooms, faculty support, and mentorship in the field, students become innovative and effective teachers.
The program includes dynamic coursework covering the fundamentals of teaching (e.g., language arts, art, math, science and social studies) and extending beyond those essentials, to include strategies needed in today's schools, such as effective instruction, classroom and behavior management, assistive technology, assessment and collaboration.
