Bachelor of Science in Education/Early Childhood Education
The IU Bloomington School of Education offers a Bachelor of Science in Education/Early Childhood Education. This program leads to Indiana state teaching license for teaching young children in infant/toddler and preschool settings or K–3rd grade classrooms and prepares teachers for inclusive settings, with students taking a concentration of coursework in early intervention and special education. Students will gain invaluable practice through field experiences and student teaching with children who represent different cultures, ethnicities and abilities.
Early Childhood candidates are generalists. They take a variety of content courses, professional foundation courses, and methods courses to meet the content areas taught in the preschool and grades K-3.
