Education Policy

The School of Education and the School of Public and Environmental Affairs have partnered to offer the undergraduate Education Policy minor. Education policy encompasses the principles and practice of policy-making at the local, national, and global level as well as the laws and regulations that govern the operation of education systems.

This 15-credit minor will provide a deeper understanding of the issues behind the headlines. Take an interdisciplinary look at education policy to learn what works and what can be done to improve education for future generations. Students will also gain valuable skills in accounting, policy analysis and program evaluation. The faculty from Education and SPEA will share their expertise in the areas of education policy, education law, school choice, school finance, and public policy.
