Summer Workshop in Slavic, East European, and Central Asian Languages

The Summer Workshop offers students an opportunity to accelerate their learning of Slavic, East European, Caucasian, and Central Asian languages by covering the equivalent of a year of college language study in eight weeks of intensive study and practice. Two summers of Russian study in the workshop combined with two years of regular Russian language courses are equal to four years of non-intensive Russian language courses. Besides Russian, the Summer Workshop regularly offers first-year Polish, Czech, Serbian/Croatian, Romanian, Hungarian, and Georgian, as well as a number of languages from the Central Asian region.
