M.S. Ed. in Science of Reading

Indiana University's M.S. Ed. in Science in Reading (SOR) provides a specialization in science-based reading instruction across diverse learning environments. The curriculum is aligned with educational standards, cognitive research, and science-based practices to ensure systematic, explicit instruction across all components of reading. This program is designed for professionals who hold a bachelor’s degree, have a foundational background in education, and wish to specialize and seek advanced roles in their careers. This program meets the requirements for Indiana’s Early Literacy Endorsement. Graduates also receive training for literacy coaching roles and earn a Dyslexia Certificate and a Coaching Micro credential, enhancing their specialization in the field.
