The Political Science Minor in World Political Systems provides instruction in the skills and substantive knowledge to understand the theory and practice of government in countries throughout the world. The minor encompasses such global policy issues as environmental management and conflict resolution.

Requirements

Students must complete 18 credit hours in Political Science with at least 9 credit hours at the 300–400 level, including six courses: three courses from Block A—International and Comparative Politics, and at least one course from Block B—Political Theory and Policy. In fulfilling these requirements, students must also meet all other College requirements for minors.

Note: Students who earn the Major in Political Science may also earn the Minor in World Political Systems. Students who are not earning the Major in Political Science may earn up to two minors offered by the Department of Political Science as long as distinct courses are used for each.
