The IU Southeast Counseling and Psychological Services (CAPS) provides a licensed and professionally trained staff that offers limited counseling and consultation to currently enrolled students. We can help students achieve their personal and academic goals by providing short-term therapeutic intervention for a variety of mental health concerns including, but not limited to, anxiety, depression, relationship difficulties, sexuality concerns, etc.; limited psychological testing; and social support services related to homelessness, financial difficulties, lack of access to healthcare, and food insecurity. We also offer consultation and referral services for students, parents, faculty, and staff related to mental health concerns. Additional services include outreach and psychoeducational programming for classes, university departments/divisions, and student organizations. All services are free and confidential.
If you hear of anyone who has thoughts, plans, or intentions to cause harm to oneself or someone else, please contact Counseling and Psychological Services at 812-941-2244 or the IU Southeast Police at 812-941-2400.
