Germanic Studies
Minor in German
Requirements
Students must complete at least 15 credit hours of Germanic Studies courses, including the College's requirements for minors, and the following:
- Language Proficiency. Complete at least one (1) of the following:
- GER-G 250 Intermediate German II
- GER-G 300 Fifth-Semester College German
- GER-G 330 Sixth-Semester College German
- GER-G 400 Advanced College German
- Gateway Course. Complete at least one (1) of the following:
- GER-G 332 Introduction to German Literature and Media
- GER-G 334 Introduction to German Thought and Culture
- Advanced Electives. Complete additional Germanic Studies courses at or above the 300 level to fulfill remaining requirements for the minor, including the College's requirements for minors.
- German Language Requirement. At least 12 credit hours of courses used for requirements 1–3 above must be taught in German.
