Minor in Economics
Requirements
Students must meet the following course requirements for a total of 18 credit hours.
- Mathematics. Complete one (1) of the following courses:
- MATH-M 119 Brief Survey of Calculus
- MATH-M 211 Calculus I
- MATH-M 213 Accelerated Calculus
- Introductory economics courses. Complete both a and b:
- ECON-E 201 Introduction to Microeconomics
- ECON-E 202 Introduction to Macroeconomics
- Theory Course.
- ECON-E 321 Intermediate Microeconomic Theory
- Advanced electives. Complete at least two additional economics courses (6 credit hours) at the 300 or 400 level, excluding ECON-E 496 and ECON-X 373. At least one of these elective courses (3 credit hours) must be numbered above E321, excluding E370.
- At least 9 credit hours must be taken in residence on the Bloomington campus.
In fulfilling the above requirements, students must also meet all other College requirements for minors.
