Accounting—Corporate Accounting Preparation
All students entering the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program must have completed a bachelor’s degree prior to enrolling.
Specific Requirements
To earn the Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Accounting (Corporate Accounting Preparation), students must:
- Successfully complete all of the required courses with at least a C-, and
- Successfully complete at least five of the required courses listed below at IU Southeast after completion of an undergraduate degree.
The following 21 Credit Hours are required:
- BUS-A 301 Accounting: An Information System
- BUS-A 311 Intermediate Accounting I
- BUS-A 312 Intermediate Accounting II
- BUS-A 325 Cost Accounting
- BUS-F 301 Financial Management
- BUS-Z 302 Managing and Behavior in Organizations
Also complete ONE of the following courses (3 credit hours):
- BUS-A 328 Introduction to Taxation
- BUS-A 339 Advanced Income Taxation
- BUS-A 413 Governmental and Not-for-profit Accounting
- BUS-A 414 Financial Statement Analysis and Interpretation
- BUS-A 424 Auditing
