The School of Public Health-Bloomington reinstates undergraduate students who were academically dismissed on a case-by-case basis.

• 1st Dismissal: Students who are dismissed from SPH-B for the first time may not enroll in the upcoming semester. They must sit out one regular (fall or spring) semester before applying for reinstatement.
• 2nd Dismissal: Students who are dismissed from SPH-B for the second time must sit out one calendar year before applying for reinstatement.
• 3rd Dismissal: Students who are dismissed from SPH-B for the third time are not eligible for reinstatement to SPH-B.

To be considered for reinstatement, students must submit a Petition for Academic Reinstatement to IU Bloomington. Students who have been dismissed from SPH-B can email SPH-B Undergraduate Advising  (sphadvr@iu.edu) for assistance.

Fall reinstatement deadline: July 15
Spring reinstatement deadline: November 15
There is no summer reinstatement application.
