Second Bachelor's Degree

There are two types of second degrees, concurrent and sequential. A concurrent degree is one earned simultaneously with a first degree. A sequential degree is one earned subsequent to a first degree (earned at IUB or elsewhere).

Students interested in pursuing a concurrent second degree must meet the School of Public Health’s entrance requirements. Questions about pursuing a concurrent degree should be directed to sphadvr@indiana.edu. If you are a currently a School of Public Health student and you want to complete a second, concurrent degree in another school at IU, then you should meet with an academic advisor from that school to learn more.

The School of Public Health at IU Bloomington does not offer sequential bachelor’s degrees. Students, instead, are encouraged to pursue graduate work in their desired area of interest.
