University College
University College is the academic unit at IU Indianapolis that provides a common gateway to the academic programs available to entering students. University College coordinates existing university resources and develops new initiatives to promote academic excellence and enhance student persistence. It provides a setting where faculty, staff, and students share in the responsibility for making IU Indianapolis a supportive and challenging environment for learning. New and transfer students are granted admission to University College (either full admission or dual admission with a degree-granting school) and remain in University College until they have declared a major and meet the necessary conditions for transfer to a degree-granting school.
