Registration
Enrollment Date/Enrollment Appointment
Continuing/Currently Enrolled Students
All students enrolled during one academic term are automatically given a priority registration enrollment date (enrollment appointment) for the following term(s). For example, a student enrolled in the Fall term will be given an appointment to register for Spring classes. This is not an actual meeting or a scheduled advising appointment; rather it is the earliest date that a student can begin to register for courses for the next semester. You will be notified via email when your enrollment date has been assigned. These are also viewable in the Student Center via One.IU. Students can register at any point on or after that enrollment date.
Returning and Temporary Intercampus Transfer Students
If you previously attended IU Indianapolis within the past 12 months but are not enrolled in the current term, contact the Office of the Registrar to confirm your registration eligibility. Students who have been away for more than 12 months will need to reapply as returning students through the Office of Undergraduate Admissions before they will be eligible to register.
Students who are pursuing a degree on another IU campus, but who would like to register at IU Indianapolis as a visiting student should complete the temporary intercampus transfer form.
Newly Admitted Students
All newly admitted undergraduate students will receive information regarding the steps to take in order to register. Complete details can be found here.
