Admission and Academic Policies
The IU Indianapolis Honors College offers high-achieving incoming freshmen with a cumulative GPA of 3.75 or higher the opportunity to apply for admission and one or more of our four competitive scholarships. Prospective honors students may apply for admission to the IU Indianapolis Honors College and honors scholarships after they have been admitted to IU Indianapolis. Once admitted, students may begin the application process by completing the IU General Scholarship Application, which is on the IU Scholarships portal (searchable via One.IU). Upon submission of this application, students may access the Honors College Admission and Scholarship Application.
Scholarship recipients are selected based on a variety of factors, such as strength of the academic curriculum in high school, grade trends, scholarship resume and essay(s), academic work sample, references, and qualities specified in each scholarship program.
The deadline to submit all application materials for the Bepko, Presidential, and Plater Scholarships is November 15. The deadline for the Chancellor's Scholarship is February 15. For more information about the admission process and scholarships, please visit our website.
