- BUCO-A 524 Managing Accounting Information for Decision-Making (3 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Provides a user-oriented understanding of how accounting information should be managed to ensure its availability on a timely and relevant basis for decision making. Focus is on cost-benefit analysis for evaluating potential value-added results from planning, organizing, and controlling a firm's account information. Group participation and computer support is used extensively.
- BUCO-F 523 Financial Management (3 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Provides a working knowledge of the tools and analytical conventions used in the practice of corporate finance; establishes an understanding of the basic elements of financial theory to be used in application of analytical reasoning to business problems, and explores the interrelationship among corporate policies and decisions. Course work will include weekly problem sets, and use of PC spreadsheets to develop financial models for cases focusing on funds requirement.
- BUCO-G 511 Microeconomics for Managers (1.5 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Emphasis on the logical foundations of economics analysis and managerial decision making. Will promote understanding and application of various quantitative measures.

- BUCO-J 506 Leadership and Ethics in the Business Environment (3 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Corporate actions are increasingly subject to media, public, and governmental scrutiny. The nature of the constantly changing relationship between business and its major constituencies is the focus. The ethical, political, economic, social, and technological considerations of various managerial decisions are investigated. The role of ethical leadership and how it relates to corporate purpose and responsibility will be a major theme. Issues affecting business organizations are examined from a number of perspectives.
- BUCO-K 511 Data Analytics I - Theoretical Context (1.5 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. This course will teach students how data analysis can inform decision making. Students will develop software and analytical skills and gain hands-on experience with data to utilize information. Focus is placed on predictive analytics to evaluate business decisions. Students will develop logical reasoning and communication skills related to quantitative outputs.
- BUCO-K 512 Data Analytics II - Innovation and Toolkits (1-3 cr.) P: BUCO-K 511 and Admission to IU MBA Columbus.. This course will develop the ability to collect large datasets, organize, and visualize them integrating the software program Tableau and leveraging key features. Corporations and individuals have unprecedented access to data. The ability to assemble, organize, and visualize data are critical, fundamental skills that can be employed across myriad platforms.
- BUCO-K 513 Data Analytics III - Practicum (1.5 cr.) P: BUCO-K 512 and Admission to IU MBA Columbus. This course provides students the opportunity to practice skills learned in K511 and K512 in a supervised, practical application. In this course, students will choose a project in their area of concentration, identify a complex decision within that area, then collect and analyze data to aid in the decision‑making process.
- BUCO-M 501 Strategic Marketing Management (1.5 cr.) P: Admission to the IU MBA Columbus. An introduction to the process of creating a market driven organization. Specific topics include marketing strategy, market research and analysis, and the development of products and services, pricing, distribution and promotion. The course employs lecture, classroom discussion, case analyses, and field research projects.
- BUCO-P 501 Operations Management (3 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Surveys the management of operations in manufacturing and service firms. Topics considered include process analysis, workforce issues, materials management, quality and productivity, technology, and strategic planning, together with relevant analytical techniques.
- BUCO-P 502 Supply Chain Logistics and Dynamic Change (1.5 cr.) P: BUCO-P 501 and Admission to IU MBA Columbus. This course builds upon BUCO-P 501 by focusing on the logistics function within the broader subject of Supply Chain Management. Discussion, readings and research will be conducted on physical aspects of logistics (inventory, transportation and warehousing) as well as administrative aspects (relationship management and performance management).
- BUCO-W 511 Entrepreneurship (1.5 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. This course is designed for those individuals interested in creating a new business venture, acquiring an existing business, working in industries that serve the entrepreneur, or students wanting to familiarize themselves with concepts, issues, and techniques of new venture creation and entrepreneurship. There is also a strong focus on intrapreneurship, or innovation within a corporate environment. Because the sources of entrepreneurial and intrapreneurial motivation are often quite diverse, the learning goals and objectives of the students in this course are often similarly diverse. Therefore, the course is designed to offer a broad range of educational experiences, including case analyses, presenting and negotiating a financial deal, and creating a business plan or corporate change initiative.
- BUCO-W 516 Organizational Development and Change (3 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Helps students to (1) understand the basic components of an organization and how they interrelate as a system, (2) learn tools for diagnosing organizational performance problems, and (3) practice applying organization design concepts to solve performance problems.
- BUCO-X 555 Personal Branding (1.5 cr.) P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. This course investigates topics such as first impressions, lasting impressions, dressing effectively, business etiquette, social interactions, small talk, dining etiquette, networking, elevator pitches, service orientation, personal value, and relationships. - BUCO-A 511 Intermediate Accounting I (3 cr.) Elective course. P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Theoretical framework and application of generally accepted accounting principles to the preparation of financial statements, with emphasis on U.S.-GAAP for the assets and liabilities of an enterprise.
- BUCO-F 503 Intermediate Investments for MBA (3 cr.) Elective course. P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Familiarizes MBA students with practical and theoretical insights of investments and develops readiness for portfolio creation, pricing equity securities, examining fixed income instruments, analyzing market efficiency, and understanding the basis of corporate financial policy.
- BUCO-W 522 Innovation (3 cr.) Elective course. P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Innovation is critical to the success of business today. Genuine innovation requires the commitment of the entire organization and a culture that supports the creative process. This course examines a variety of innovations and processes to achieve and capitalize on successful ideas.

Variable topic course to allow enrollment in elective courses not yet assigned to specific course subject and catalog numbers (such as AI Augmented Work, Intermediate Accounting II, Financial Derivatives, Lean Six Sigma, Special Topics in Supply Chain Management).
- BUCO-X 590 Independent Study in Business - General (1-6 cr.) Elective course. P: Admission to IU MBA Columbus. Course is an independent study offered as needed in fall and spring terms to help students meet specific credit hour or other requirements.
