Orientation

University College requires all beginning and transfer students with less than 12 transferable credits to attend an orientation program. At orientation, students receive an overview of campus resources, engage with members of the IU Columbus family, explore opportunities for student involvement, and have their photo taken for their first student I.D. card. Students must create their IU account before attending orientation. University technology will be covered during the orientation program. For more information please see the Orientation Website.

Students are required to pay a New Student Enrollment Fee that is assessed to all students who are beginning their first semester in a degree-seeking program. The fee is not contingent on participation in the orientation program.
