Temporary Intercampus Transfer

Undergraduate degree-seeking students with a 2.0 or higher GPA who are enrolled at IU Columbus as their home campus are permitted to register for courses as a temporary, visiting student at other IU campuses. Other requirements also apply and are reviewed individually to determine eligibility. The temporary intercampus transfer opportunity is especially beneficial for students needing a class at certain times of the day or week or when course sections reach capacity. Visiting students may register for classes once open enrollment begins and are admitted for a maximum of two consecutive academic terms with IU Columbus (Fall/Spring/Summer).

Courses taken away from the home campus are billed separately through the student’s Bursar account and may not be covered using home campus financial aid or scholarships. If you are a graduate degree-seeking student, be sure to request guidance from your Academic Advisor and approval from the degree-awarding school with whom you are enrolled before registering for courses hosted by another campus.
