About the Division of Applied Health Sciences
The Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Health Sciences is a versatile degree that provides students with extensive preparation for work in any field that addresses people’s health. The objective of this program is to address the needs of those students seeking a broad understanding of the science of human health and its application to their chosen career. The degree is delivered via traditional classroom format, including internships with local health agencies, and culminating in a capstone experience.
All students entering the Vera Z. Dwyer College of Health Sciences will be automatically enrolled in the B.S. in Health Sciences program. Students will progress towards degree completion unless they apply and are formally admitted to one of the professional/prelicensure programs, such as Nursing, Dental Hygiene and/or Radiography/Medical Imaging.
