In addition to managing basic college responsibilities, beginning students must find their way in a new environment that is very different from what they were accustomed to in high school. University College student mentors, faculty, and staff are committed to helping students make the transition from high school to college by providing resources and support, often in collaboration with other schools and units, to ensure that all entering students make a smooth transition to IUPUI. The Office of Transfer Student Services was created in 2013 to provide a similar array of support services for enrolled transfer students. Rather than focusing on the transition to college, this office recognizes the experience that transfer students bring to IUPUI and focuses on connecting transfer students to campus resources and providing leadership for making IUPUI a welcoming place for transfer students to complete their degrees.
