Getting Started in your Major

Beginning students will also be advised to start on the general-education requirements for the program(s) in which they are interested as well as introductory classes. These classes will include core communication, analytical reasoning, cultural understanding, life and physical science, arts and humanities and social sciences, depending on the division or program. Particularly if students are attending full time, they will be encouraged to enroll in the introductory course or courses in their program of study during the first or second semester of enrollment. These are usually 100-level courses.
