Library
The University Library of Columbus is located in the Columbus Learning Center and serves the students, faculty, and staff of IU Columbus, Ivy Tech Columbus, and Purdue Polytechnic. The library enhances and supports teaching, learning, and research by providing an array of user-centered resources and services. Local residents may also utilize the library and many of its resources.
The University Library of Columbus provides students access to over 80 computer workstations with a variety of software applications and hardware to support learning and collaboration. The library includes spaces for both collaborative work and quiet study. Students can visit the library in person or contact librarians virtually for assistance with research. The collection of library materials contains about 40,000 books, periodicals, and other physical items. Students also have access to more than eight million items throughout the IU library system via the IUCAT online catalog. Materials not found in the catalog or in the library's online databases may be requested via interlibrary loan. The University Library of Columbus offers students access to an outstanding collection of electronic resources including over 160,000 full-text online journals and 1.4 million online books.
