- MIT-R 431 Second Certification (Professional Credential) (1-12 cr.) Must be admitted to the B.S. Medical Imaging Technology Online program. Special credits are awarded upon successful completion of a second certification examination offered by an approved medical imaging certifying body, such as the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- MIT-R 470 Advanced Diagnostic Imaging I (3 cr.) Must be admitted to the IU Online B.S. Medical Imaging Technology program. A study of physics pertaining to advanced medical imaging modalities. This course will cover instrumentation, equipment, and principles of medical imaging technology.
- MIT-R 471 Advanced Diagnostic Imaging II (3 cr.) Must be admitted to the IU Online B.S. Medical Imaging Technology program. A study of patient care, safety, and procedural concepts associated with advanced medical imaging modalities.
- MIT-R 472 Multiplanar Anatomy and Pathology I (3 cr.) Must be admitted to the IU Online B.S. Medical Imaging Technology program. MIT-R 472 is designed to instruct the medical imaging professional in multiplanar anatomy and the various disease states of the human body. Relevant pathology and anatomy will be covered.
