Repeat Policy
The Division of Nursing Science policy requires students to achieve a grade of C (2.0) in each required program prerequisite course. Students who earn a grade less than a C in a required program prerequisite course must earn a grade of C by the second completed attempt. Students who earn a grade of less than C in a required required program prerequisite course are strongly urged to successfully complete the course in the next semester of enrollment, providing the course is offered. Both pre-nursing and nursing students who do not successfully complete all required course program prerequisite general education courses with a minimum grade of C by the second completed attempt are ineligible for admission to the Nursing Program.
Students may repeat only three courses, or a maximum of 11 credit hours, of the required required program prerequisite general education courses in an effort to achieve a C or higher in each course. The Division of Nursing Science follows the IU South Bend grade replacement policy.
