The MSCJPS is a course of study that requires the completion of (1) the core, (2) the electives, (3) the experiential requirement or mid-career option credit to total 36 credit hours.

EXPERIENTIAL COMPONENT: In order to be awarded the MSCJPS degree, students must obtain professionally relevant experience through an internship in SPEA-J 585.

  • SPEA-J 600         Criminal Justice & Public Safety Policy Evaluation (spring only)         
  • SPEA-J 599         MSCJPS Thesis Option (faculty pre-approval required)       

*NOTE: J666, J599 cannot be taken until the V506 and J502 core courses are completed.

A minimum of 3 credits of internship is required.
