Analytical techniques emphasized within this course are directly applicable to real estate, finance and accounting careers, while also providing exposure to skills supportive of property ownership and investment. - BUS-R 443 Real Estate Finance and Investment Analysis (3 cr.) P: F305, I-Core. Kelley admit and senior standing. Application of financial concepts and techniques to the analysis of real estate financing and investment alternatives. This course includes core concepts in financing mechanisms, after-tax real estate investment analysis, discounted cash flow techniques and market analysis. Significant exposure is provided to current real estate market attributes, culminating in the application of a comprehensive real estate investment analysis project. OFFERED IN THE FALL SEMESTER
- BUS-R 490 Independent Study in Real Estate and Land Economics (1-3 cr.) P: I-CORE and consent of undergraduate program chairperson and instructor. Supervised individual study and research in student’s special field of interest. The student will propose the investigation desired and, in conjunction with the instructor, develop the scope of work to be completed. Comprehensive written report required.
