Dean's Council
- DAVID WANG, the Chairman of the SPEA Dean's Council, is an operating partner of Atlas Holdings, a former Executive Vice President and Board member of the International Paper Company. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University and a Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology.
- GURMINDER BEDI is the former Vice President of Ford Motor Company, North America. He has a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from George Washington University and an MBA from University of Detroit.
- BETH BROOKE is the Global Vice Chair for Public Policy, Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement at Ernst and Young. She has a Bachelor of Science degree from Purdue University and is a CPA and an FLMI.
- KATHY DAVIS is the owner/operator of Davis Design Group, LLC. She is also Indiana's first female Lieutenant Governor. She graduated from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Harvard Business School.
- C. BOYDEN GRAY is the former Special Envoy for European Union Affairs and Special Envoy for Eurasian Energy. He was previously the United States Ambassador to the European Union. Ambassador Gray received a Bachelor's degree magna cum laude from Harvard and a J.D. from the University of North Carolina. He has also served in the United States Marine Corps.
- MELANIE HART is Chief Executive Officer of Tsuchiya North American, as well as President of its four subsidiary companies. These companies manufacture and assemble plastic molded products and printed graphics for the automotive, industrial and appliance markets. She received her Bachelor of Science degree from Cornell University.
- ALLAN HUBBARD is the Chairman and CEO of E & A Industries, Inc., a privately held corporation in Indianapolis, Indiana that purchases established manufacturing companies. He received both his J.D. cum laude and Master of Business Administration with Distinction from Harvard University and his Bachelor of Arts cum laude from Vanderbilt University
- MARIE JOHNS is Managing Member of L & L Consulting, LLC, an organizational effectiveness and public policy consulting practice in Washington, DC. She received her Bachelor of Science and Master of Public Administration degrees from the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs. She also received an honorary doctorate of humane letters from Trinity University in Washington, DC.
- SANDRA E. LANEY is Chairman and CEO of Cadre Computer Resources Co., a Cincinnati, Ohio-based security solutions provider specializing in the sale, support, training and assessment of network security systems. She received a Bachelor of Arts from Thomas More College and serves on the Board of Directors of the Indiana University Foundation.
- PHILIPPA MALMGREN is the president of the Canonbury Group, a financial services company based in London. Dr. Malmgren received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Mount Vernon College and a M.Sc. and Ph.D. from the London School of Economics.
- ROBERT H. McKINNEY is the former chairman of First Indiana Corporation, parent company of First Indiana Bank. He was also a founding partner of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP, one of the largest law firms in Indianapolis. He is a graduate of the United States Naval Academy, the Naval Justice School, and the Indiana University School of Law.
- DANA MEAD was named Chairman of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Corporation (MIT's Board of Trustees) in 2003. He retired from the position of Chairman and CEO of Tenneco, Inc., in 1999. He received a Bachelor of Science in engineering from West Point and has a Ph.D. from Massachusetts Institute of Technology. He also served in the U.S. Army from 1957-1978.
- KATHIE OLSEN became a Senior Advisor in the National Science Foundation's Office of Information and Resource Management in January 2008. Dr. Olsen received a Bachelor of Science with honors from Chatham College and her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from the University of California, Irvine.
- JEFF PERKINS is the founder of Huntbridge Executive Recruiting. He most recently served as Senior Vice President of Human Resources for Fox Interactive Media. He holds his Master of Science from the American University and his Bachelor of Arts from Wabash College.
- KATHERINE RHYNE is a partner with King & Spalding's Tort and Environmental Litigation Practice in Washington, DC, which handles environmental and pharmaceutical tort litigation, including mass tort and class action cases, as well as environmental regulatory matters. Ms. Rhyne received her J.D. from the University of Virginia and her A.B. in Economics with High Distinction from the University of Virginia.
- CHUCK SCHALLIOL has served as counsel at Baker & Daniels in Indianapolis, Indiana since 2007, focusing on emerging companies, private equity, venture capital, and corporate finance. He graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Indiana University and received his J.D. from Yale Law School.
- JAMES A. SCHELLINGER is President and CEO of CSO Architects, one of Indiana's largest architectural firms. He is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame School of Architecture.
- SCOTT SEGAL co-manages the federal government relations and strategic communications practices at Breacewell & Giuliani LLP in Washington, DC, where he assists clients with effective participation in the legislative process of governmental operations, including environment, energy, trade, and consumer issues. He received his B.A. summa cum laude from Emory University, and his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law.
- STUART H. SINGER is a partner with Boies, Schiller & Flexner in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. His practice focuses on complex business litigation in the state and federal courts throughout the United States and before arbitration panels. He received both his M.A. and B.S. with Highest Distinction from Northwestern University and his J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
- VERONICA STIDVENT is the director of the Center for Policies and Governance at the University of Texas at Austin. She received her B.A. from the University of Texas at Austin, where she was honored as a Dean's Distinguished Graduate. She earned her J.D. at Yale Law School.
- FRED WEBBER is a Senior Government Affairs Counselor to Maine Street Solutions, a public affairs and consulting service of Verrill Dana, LLP at their office in Washington, DC. A former Marine Corps Officer, Mr. Webber received a Bachelor of Arts from Yale University and has done graduate study in international affairs at American University.
