Welcome to the Herron School of Art and Design!
Indiana University's Herron School of Art and Design is the only professional art school in Indiana. As a tight-knit community of artists, scholars, art educators, and designers who push their work to its potential--and themselves to exceptional careers--we carefully maintain our focus on the quality education that has fostered the successes of top artists and designers for more than a century.
Our responsibility to push creative boundaries, to foster analytical skills necessary for creative problem solving, and to challenge students to be innovative is the foundation for Herron's success.
Herron offers the following programs:
Undergraduate Degree Programs
- BFAs with majors in Ceramics, Furniture Design, Painting, Photography, Printmaking, Sculpture, Visual Communication, General Fine Arts
- BAE
- BA in Art History
- Minor in Art History
- Coursework for non-majors
Graduate Degree Programs
- MFA in Visual Art and Public Life with emphases in Furniture Design, Printmaking, Sculpture, Ceramics, Photography and Intermedia, Painting and Drawing
- MFA in Visual Communication
- MAE

Herron School of Art and Design has a Web site for all students and graduates who are seeking jobs. It is updated weekly and lists part-time, full-time, and freelance jobs for all fine arts majors.
