The Dental Hygiene Program on the IU Northwest campus offers clinical dental services to students and faculty including a dental examination, dental prophylaxis (scaling and polishing of teeth), caries preventive treatments (application of fluorides), sealants, preventive periodontal treatment (treatment of minor gum disorders), and diagnostic dental X-rays.  Qualified dental hygiene students under the supervision of a licensed dentist and hygienist render all treatment.  The dental assisting students are also qualified to expose dental X-rays under the supervision of a licensed dentist and dental hygienist.  Anyone is eligible for treatment, and appointments can be made by calling the Clinic Support Manager at (219) 980-6772.
