A minor in forensic investigation will provide students with a better understanding of the value and significance of physical evidence utilized during a criminal trial. The forensic investigation minor student will acquire foundational knowledge of the application of science to the criminal and civil laws that are enforced by police agencies in a criminal justice system.  Further, students completing this minor will gain a comprehensive understanding of an investigation from the initial response to a crime through the collection, processing, and presentation of evidence.    The requirement for this minor is 18 credit hours with a C- or better.

• CJHS-J 322 Introduction to Criminalistics (3 cr.)

Forensic investigation electives-choose one of the following courses:

Science electives-choose at least 6 credits earned from a combination of the following courses:
