Homeland Security and Emergency Management Minor
A minor in homeland security and emergency management will provide foundational knowledge of evidence-based practices and theoretical concepts as well as the practical skills to protect themselves and their places of employment from the consequences of natural and human-made disasters and other threats to the homeland. Students must complete 15 hours with a C- or better in each course
The Following Courses are Required of all Homeland Security and Emergency Management Minors:
- CJHS-J 272 Terrorism and Public Policy (3 cr.)
- CJHS-J 275 Introduction to Emergency Management (3 cr.)
- CJHS-J 278 Principles and Practices of Homeland Security (3 cr.)
- CJHS-J 305 Juvenile Justice (3 cr.)
- CJHS-J 387 Foundations of Homeland Security (3 cr.)
- CJHS-J 388 Public Administration and Emergency Management (3 cr.)
