Honors Minors
The IU Indianapolis Honors College offers three minors that can enhance and complement any major. Students must pursue the honors version of the minor or complete an honors contract for each non-honors course and submit it to the IU Indianapolis Honors College for approval.
Minor in Leadership
The O'Neill School of Public and Environmental Affairs offers a 15 credit honors minor in leadership, providing exposure to current theory and practice designed to prepare students for future leadership roles. This minor benefits students seeking leadership opportunities and careers in leadership.
Minor in Public Health
The Fairbanks School of Public Health offers a 15 credit honors minor in public health, highlighting the social, economic, behavioral, and environmental influences that measurably improve the health of entire populations. This minor best serves students who major in the basic sciences, social sciences, and liberal arts.
Minor in Philanthropic Studies
The Lilly Family School of Philanthropy offers a 15 credit honors minor in philanthropic studies, exploring the cultural traditions of voluntary action through a variety of disciplinary perspectives and course options. This minor will complement other bachelor's degrees and assist students seeking entry-level positions in philanthropy and nonprofit organizations, as well as roles in the business and government sectors. The minor in philanthropic studies is well suited for students who want to integrate their commitment to working with others into their work or career.
