Degree Requirements
Visual Arts (Grades P-12)
Grade of C or higher is required in each professional EDUC course.
Applicants must have a 2.50 IU GPA overall and in the content area and have completed or be enrolled in the following coursework:
- EDUC-G 203 Communication for Youth Serving Professionals (3 cr.)
- EDUC-I 251 Learning Theories for Teachers (3 cr.) AND EDUC-M 101 Field Experience (1 cr.)
- EDUC-M 130 Child Art: Understanding Children's Artistic Worlds (3 cr.)
- EDUC-M 300 Teaching in a Pluralistic Society (3 cr.)
- EDUC-W 200 Teaching with Technology (3 cr.)
- 21 credits in fine arts (15 completed and a maximum of 6 in progress)
