Master of Public Affairs
The Master of Public Policy (M.P.P.) 48 credit hour degree is a professional degree for analyzing, evaluating, and solving all aspects of policy. It is a rigorous skills-oriented program geared toward students who want to pursue a career in policy analysis. As analysts, MPP graduates work mainly with quantitative data and microeconomic tools to develop, assess, and evaluate alternative approaches to current and emerging issues and to inform evidence-based policymaking.
The M.P.P. degree has 6 concentration options that are all policy-focused, differentiating itself from the M.P.A. degree. Concentrations include: health policy, environmental policy, energy and climate policy, social policy, equity and social justice, and public finance. Concentrations are 9 credit hours each. Similar to peer MPP programs, we will require an internship as part of the degree requirements, as well as a capstone project.
