The Center for Cultural Affairs

The Center for Cultural Affairs aims to advance the understanding of the place of arts and culture in public life through creating research networks, educational opportunities, and outreach to the arts and cultural community. The Center for Cultural Affairs is focused on producing high-quality scholarship to inform policy and practice, while serving as a training ground and a connecting hub for researchers in the field. Programs at the Center for Cultural Affairs include a workshop and speaker series, research conferences and symposia, and a Ph.D. fellowship program. The Center for Cultural Affairs is also home to the Arts, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation Lab – a national Research Lab funded by the National Endowment for the Arts – that focuses on conducting empirical research on the role of arts and culture in innovation and entrepreneurship.
