Master of Science in Healthcare Management

The Master of Science in Healthcare Management joint degree (36 credit hours) is aimed at recent college graduates who are seeking the skills and credentials that will enable them to obtain entry level positions (and then to progress quickly) in the healthcare management field. 

Summer Semester
Kelley Business Core Courses (6 credit hours):

Foundation in core business areas of finance, marketing, accounting, operations/supply chain, organization behavior, and strategy. The course will run from the first week in June to the first week in July. Unless the MSHM degree has approximately 25 entering students/year, the students will be in sections with other students (ones pursuing other degrees through Kelley); most of the projects, case studies, and examples will not come from healthcare. When the degree has approximately 25 students/year, Kelley will offer a separate section of this Core program only for MSHM students and with projects, case studies, and examples from healthcare.

SPEA Economics and Statistics Refresh (0 credits):

A two-week course that provides basic knowledge of microeconomics and statistical analysis for all students.

Note: Not all candidates admitted to the program will be required to take the refresher course.

Spring Break
Kelley Washington Campus Program (3 credits):

The focus of this week-long course will be on government regulation of and engagement with the healthcare industry. The course can be tailored to meet the needs articulated by SPEA and Kelley.

Total Credit Hours: 36

            SPEA: 15-18 credit hours

            KSOB: 18-21 credit hours

The total number of credit hours per school will be dependent upon the elective choice(s) of the students.
