About the Titan Success Center
The IU South Bend Titan Success Center is committed to helping all IU South Bend students to be successful.
The Center staff provides support services and serve as advocates for all students. They personally reach out to support freshman and sophomore students, especially students with IU Flags. All IU South Bend students can meet with academic success coaches. The academic success coaches are available to help all IU South Bend students with academic advising (e.g., course registration, schedule changes (adding, dropping, or withdrawing from courses), time management, basic study strategies, switching majors, or helping with strategies to be successful college students.
Other services provided include:
- Assisting students in speaking with professors
- Removing holds (SAT/ACT, transcript, bursar, temporarily lifting advising holds)
- Developing a plan to pay down the bursar’s account to register for the next term
- Referrals to campus resources (Office of Student Financial Aid and Scholarships, Making the Academic Connection, Academic Centers for Excellence, and faculty)
Social Work Intern
The Titan Success Center’s Social Work intern, Janet Stone, is available to help IU South Bend students work through life issues, including (but not limited to):
- childcare
- employment
- food
- insurance
- housing
- life's stressors
- medical care
- motivation
- pregnancy/expecting parent(s)
- transportation
- legal and interpersonal issues
ll IU South Bend students are welcome to walk-in or set up appointments to meet with our staff or to learn more about our programs and services.
