Department of Kinesiology Clubs and Organizations

IUPUI Moving Company
The IUPUI Moving Company is a performing dance company composed of students enrolled at IUPUI.  Prospective members audition during the first week of the fall semester, when members and apprentices are taken into the company.  Approximately 4-6 hours per week are spent in rehearsals, workshops, lecture-demonstrations, or performances.  Members should be enrolled concurrently in a dance technique class while performing with the company.  The repertoire consists of ballet, modern, jazz and ethnic dance forms.  The IUPUI Moving Company performs on campus, at professional conferences, and for elementary, middle and high school audiences.

Organization of Kinesiology
The Organization of Kinesiology (OK) exists to improve the quality of student life in the Department of Kinesiology.  Activities include assimilating new students into the department, representing the school in shaping university-wide policies and activities, helping students attain educational objectives, and promoting participation in student activities.  The general membership of the organization is composed of full- or part-time physical education majors in all tracks.

Phi Epsilon Kappa Fraternity
Phi Epsilon Kappa is a national professional fraternity for persons engaged in or pursuing careers in physical education, health, recreation, dance, human performance, exercise science, sports medicine and sports management.  Invitations for membership are offered to persons who show professional promise in the purposes of the fraternity and in providing time and energy for the benefit of these areas.

Sports Management Club
The IUPUI Sport Management Club provides sports management students with practical career-related experiences.  Activities include fundraising, special events, and exploring professional values such as integrity and respect.  As a club member, you will learn firsthand how your degree can be applied professionally, as well as develop your skills and build your resume.  Members should be enrolled in the sports management plan of study, either as full- or part-time students.
