West European Studies

Introduction

West European Studies, a program in the College of Arts and Sciences, offers interdisciplinary programs that combine courses in the social sciences, humanities, and languages to give students a broad understanding of the countries of Western Europe and the European Union. The program offers two undergraduate minors: the West European studies minor and the European Union Studies minor.

Both minors combine core courses with elective courses from other departments and schools.

Some courses to fulfill the minors are listed under "West European Studies"; others are offered through various departments. Students may earn both minors, but the minors may not be completed with the same courses. Students must meet with the West European Studies academic advisor to apply for the minors and to work out the course plan.
