Physical Education Teacher Education Plan of Study
This program will lead to a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology degree and Indiana teaching certification in health education and physical education (dual licensure) at the elementary, junior high/middle school, and high school levels.

Professional Education Requirements (35 credit hours)
Students must be admitted to the Physical Education Teacher Education program to enroll in these courses. September 7th (for spring admission) and February 7th (for fall admission) are the deadlines for submission of teacher education applications to the School of Education. Students must pass three assessment benchmarks in addition to meeting grade point requirements. Courses must be taken in the prescribed sequence and are offered only in the daytime and in fall and summer semesters. Grades of C or higher are required in all classes; however, a grade point average (GPA) of 2.5 or higher is required throughout the professional education courses.
