Economics
A minor in economics is a logical supplement to programs in business, engineering, technology, health services, science, and the social sciences. A knowledge of economic theory, economic institutions, and how economic policy is formed is necessary for students preparing for careers in law, science, government, or any area that uses the scarce resources of our society.Requirements
The requirements for a minor in economics are as follows:- 15 credit hours in economics courses to include ECON E201 and ECON E202 and three 300- or 400-level courses. (ECON E270 may be substituted for one of the 300- to 400-level courses.)
- Residency requirements: 9 credit hours of the minor must be completed at IUPUI.
- Grade requirement: The grade in each course submitted for the minor must be C (2.0) or higher.
Students need to apply for the minor by filling out the application form for the minor which is available in CA401.
