The Supplemental Instruction program provides a collaborative environment that builds community and strengthens academic skills by encouraging peer-to-peer mentoring. Mentors—students who have successfully completed a course and are now helping others with that course material—work with groups of students free of charge to improve those students’ understanding of difficult material in courses such as psychology, history, philosophy, computer science, nursing, and several biology courses. In addition, mentors share study skills and test-taking techniques with their students during their mentoring sessions. For more information, contact the Bepko Learning Center at (317) 274-4818.
