Postbaccalaureate Certificates

Postbaccalaureate Certificates

The College of Arts and Sciences offers postbaccalaureate certificates in three areas: Community Development and Urban Studies (contact Danille Taylor-Guthrie, Department of Minority Studies), Computer Information Systems (contact William Dorin, Department of Computer Information Systems), and Race Ethnic Studies (contact Danille Taylor-Guthrie, Department of Minority Studies). The certificates are designed for mature students seeking career changes, career development, or lifelong learning objectives. The postbaccalaureate certificate options are open to anyone holding a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Students will receive instructions in the major certificate subject area and selected courses in Arts and Sciences related areas.

The complete range of academic counseling, career counseling, and placement services are available to postbaccalaureate certificate students (consult the IUN Undergraduate Bulletin for details).

Graduate Courses
The selection of courses for graduate programs in English at Indiana University must be done with departmental graduate counselors in Bloomington. Students seeking to enroll in graduate English courses at Indiana University Northwest must observe the following regulations: (1) must hold an undergraduate degree from an accredited university or college; (2) must provide evidence of prior admission to one of the graduate schools/divisions of Indiana University; and (3) must comply with the terminal dates for seeking such admission, as follows.
