Academic Standing
Probation
Students are placed on probation whenever their cumulative grade point average is below 2.0 unless their academic program has established a higher standard. A student on probation remains on probation until their cumulative GPA is 2.0 or higher. The ramifications of probation on a student's status at the University depend upon the academic unit in which the student is enrolled. Students who are placed on probation should discuss it with their academic advisor as soon as possible, to learn what is necessary to be allowed to continue with the academic program.
