University Requirements for Transfer Students
Indiana University welcomes students who wish to transfer from other colleges or universities.
University requirements for transfer admission include:
- A minimum cumulative GPA of 2.0 on a 4.0 scale (2.5 required for nonresidents of Indiana);
- A high school record showing satisfactory entrance units;
- Evidence of good standing in the institution last attended;
- Transcripts of credits and grades earned in all subjects.
Acceptance of credit from other institutions is determined by the Indiana University Office of Admissions, and the applicability of credit toward degree requirements in the Jacobs School of Music is determined by the director of undergraduate studies in consultation with the faculty. Only credits earned at Indiana University will count toward a student’s grade point average. Courses from other colleges and universities may transfer as credit only.
