Minor in Health Care Systems Leadership

In addition to marketable skills, employers are looking for leadership potential .  The Health Systems Leadership minor introduces students to the major areas of higher level healthcare management and offers the basic skills needed to work as an Office Manager or Project Coordinator.

Requirements (18 cr.)

All courses are 3 credits, unless otherwise designated.

  • HSC-A 291 Service Learning in Health Sciences I
  • HSC-A 491 Service Learning in Health Sciences II
  • HSC-M 192 Health Revenue Management and Reimbursement
  • HSC-M 270 Foundations and Principles of Health Insurance Management (Pending Final Approval)

Select two of the following:

  • HSC-B 352 Health Systems Leadership and Performance Improvement
  • HSC-H 322 Epidemiology and Biostatistics
  • HSC-L 230 Health Care Delivery Systems
  • HSC-M 101 Electronic Records
