Master of Science in Nursing, Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner (A-GNP): Primary Care 

42 credit hours; 600 clinical supervised hours

The adult-gerontology primary care nurse practitioner major provides comprehensive health care to well, at risk, and chronically ill adult clients who are cared for in ambulatory or extended care settings. As a nurse practitioner, nurses use theory, research, and clinical expertise to improve the health of adults.

As a graduate of this program, nurses are eligible for certification through the American Nurses Credentialing Center or through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Program as an Adult-Geriatric Nurse Practitioner–Primary Care upon completion of the degree. Additionally, as an advanced practice nurse, nurses qualify to apply for prescriptive authority from the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency.
