Master of Science in Event Tourism
Academic Regulations
Degree requirements for students in the School of Physical Education and Tourism Management are established by the faculty of the school and may change. Students are bound by rules and regulations established by the faculty at the time of their initial matriculation as a graduate student. Every graduate student will be assigned an advisor who will help cooperatively plan their course of study depending on experiences and education objectives.
Graduate Student Learning Outcomes
Upon completion of the degree, students will know and be able to:
- Develop, synthesize and execute principles of event tourism through research.
- Conduct research in an ethical and responsible manner.
- Demonstrate best practices in event tourism research.
- Interpret and appraise event tourism sustainability critically and reflectively.
- Examine and predict event tourism industry trends.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including tourism professionals and the general public.
- Work productively with persons from diverse cultures and backgrounds.
- Practice a sense of community and civic mindedness.
