Graduate (All Students)

Graduate-Level Credit

Only credit in graduate-level courses may be applied toward completion of a graduate academic program in the School of Public Health - Bloomington. Credit earned in courses below the 500-level may not be used in such programs with the following exceptions:

  • In certain cases, courses at the 300 and 400 level have been specifically approved for graduate credit. All such courses are listed in the University Graduate School Academic Bulletin. Nor­mally, these courses require a higher level of performance and significantly more work than other undergraduate-level courses.
  • A graduate-level course with a course number below 500, which is transfered from another institution of higher learning, may count for credit in School of Public Health - Bloomington graduate programs if the official transcript from the institution offering the course identifies the course as a graduate-level course.

Credit for SLST-S 501 and other SLST credit used for English language improvement may not count toward completion of any academic program in the School of Public Health - Bloomington.
